July 4th is always full of traditions.
I'm OCD and always have to buy my kids a festive shirt.
Well, this year Kinsey pulled through for us and made these cute flag shirts.
The morning started early at Sill's Cafe. It's our 3rd annual visit with the Ayalas.
We have to beat the rush and be seated by 7:55am.
Good diner food is worth the early wake up time.
The boys played smartphone games, while the rest of us chatted & chowed.
Breakfast was followed by the Kaysville Parade.
We only go because the kids love to walk to get slurpees...
Collect as much candy (salt water taffy...eww) as they can...
And end up in tears because someone got more than them...
Then we head home for much-needed naps.
That night we gather with friends...
for homemade ice cream....
and plenty of fireworks...
Then we head home way past our bedtimes and sleep like babies thanks to...
...all of the fun, sunshine and the hard work & sacrifice of others.
It was a real good one.
