Making room for Stella

When Stella was born James was still in the nursery.
She's 3 months now and ready for her crib,
so we kicked James out (to share a room with Henry) and moved Stella in.

We had to change a few things to make it more Stella-ish/girly/not too girly.
Here is the post about James' nursery (aka: before pics).

Here is Stella's room now...
I started that star quilt with Henry, just knowing that I would have a girl first and would name her "Stella"....a little star quilt for my little star.
Boy was I wrong, but it works perfectly now,
3 children later.

Allie did the cute vinyl, of course.
My favorite is her adorable birth announcement on the wall...

I switched out the pictures on the picture wall (and still need a few more).
All the wonderful work of Jeni Boston at Stella's birth and newborn shoots.
I hung her blessing dress (made by Kinsey) and her Stella shirt (made by Emma).
More pictures and books...

When you have a girl you have to add bows and headbands...
Allie was the mastermind behind this bow holder creation.
We just got old frames at the DI, took out the glass, painted them and used a staple gun to attach cute ribbon.
Then we added the letter hooks to hang headbands on.
It functions perfectly and is an adorable decoration in her room.
It's the little bit of girly I was looking for.

Most of her time is spent in this area of the room...
...nursing in the chair and taking long naps in her swing.

I'm so happy with how it all turned out with very little effort.
I hope Stella is happy too in her new little space.

I love the bow and flower frame. I wish my daughter would leave things in her hair, but she never has:(
