Two of my good friends from high school that were also my college roommates are FINALLY getting married. They have dated and almost engaged for years now. It's ironic that they both waited until they were nearing 30 to make the plunge and then they got engaged just a few months apart....and they are both marrying Dereks!!! I guess it was meant to be.
We had to get together to celebrate this event we've been waiting for for years. The other night we all met up at Trio in SLC. The food was amazing, especially the rosemary flatbread with dippings. I think it's been since USU that we've all been in the same place at the same time, or maybe my wedding, but it's been a LONG time. The conversation was mostly on kiddos, jobs, upcoming wedding nights and the waiter that kept giving Pam the flirtacious staredown (in his defense she was wearing knitted arm-warmers that covered her wedding ring). We gave the future brides some homemade placemats (courtesy of Pam), a pizza stone, a memo board and some wedding night apparel (classy, of course). We must have been having much more fun than the other restaurant goers because we failed to notice that the entire place was empty and that the workers had to shut off the lights to get us to leave. On our way out we checked the door and the restaurant had been closed for an hour!!! Oops.
Happy Weddings, ladies! We're so happy this momentous occasion has finally arrived!
(sorry about the yellow pics with poor lighting that make us all appear as though we have black eyes...they were taken via the iphone)

CONGRATULATIONS LADIES! You both will make beautiful brides for sure!
Holy crap they're old for getting married. Finally is right! Who waits til nearly 30 to make one of the biggest decisions of her life??? That's ridiculous! I'm surprised a man was still even interested in those old maids.
Love you Jess!
So I went to HS with you and I'm struggling and it's BUGGIN, I usually don't forget faces.....so pray tell who are they???? Embarrassing isn't it?? ;)
You would only know Pam, Becky and Amanda. Lori and Marieke went to a different high school.
