Homeward bound!

It's official...today is the day!...we are heading HOME! Preston is done with his project here with Frito Lay....the new veggie chips (Flat Earth is the name) he's been working on come out in February. Some of them are really good (Tomato & Garlic and Herb) and some are not so great (Peach Mango...chips?), but each serving counts as 1/2 of a veggie or fruit serving. So, it's a healthy chip, I guess! That's the idea anyway. You'll have to give them a try.

We have a long drive ahead of us.....about 23 hours....we're hoping the dvd player and Backyardigans videos that Santa brought Henry for Christmas make it a smooth trip. We're keeping our fingers crossed for good weather too!

We also have a lot of work ahead of us. Our house is half painted on the inside, so we need to paint first, and then move our stuff in from the garage (it's been our "storage unit" for the last few months). We're excited to open up the gazillion boxes in our garage...it will be like Christmas...we haven't seen the stuff in them in over 2 years! I'm sure we'll be throwing quite a bit of it away....I can't handle clutter. We have some serious situating and organizing to do and then hopefully we'll be settled in our home. I'm looking forward to having our family and friends close, getting to know the neighborhood, having a yard for Henry to play in, and just being settled. A lot of people have asked if we'll be leaving again to move for another project and the answer is most likely yes. As much as we'd love to just stay in our house, we'd rather be with Preston. He'll have to travel either way, and we'd rather just go with him. You can't beat the extra money either. But, we'll see. We definetely want to stay in our house for a few months and get everything settled before we were to leave again. Only time will tell. Who knows....maybe he'll get assigned to a Utah project!

Since we'll be so busy with the house, it will probably be a few weeks before we get internet back again. So my blog may be on hiatus for a little bit. I will try to visit our good neighbors and update the blog there.

Here's a picture of Henry to tide you over....he's into climbing lately!

Happy Trails.......Jessie

I was great to see you. Thanks for making a stop in the windy city of Rawlins. It was fun to have people visiting me, usually it's the other way around. Bridger really liked Henry. The resemblance is kind of funny isn' it?! Good luck unpacking!!
