Our child has quite the love for animals. So for those who know Preston and I, it is strange to see him get wild with excitement every time any sort of animal comes near him. This could be a bird eating half of his meal he dropped on the ground at a cafe in Rockefeller Center, or feeding a llama at the Central Park Zoo. He honestly lights up when he catches sight of any animal.

He sure doesn't get this interest in creatures from us! It comes as no surprise that one of his first words is "birdie". Just as long as he doesn't make friends with mice, I think I'll be okay with it.
