Some very nice people organized a great neighborhood egg hunt again this year.
Our friends gathered at our house to head out for the hunt.
We visited about 20 houses and collected one egg at each house.
It's much like trick-or-treating but in the Spring time
and the eggs are just scattered in the lawn.
The boys ran from house to house...
While Stella cheered them on in her birthday trike pushed by Daddy...
Henry had to crack open every egg on the spot to see what was inside.
His favorite surprises weren't candy but balls and coins...
James did great at keeping up with the big kids this year
with his get-to-work face on...
We loved walking the neighborhood with our friends
and not having to worry about competing for eggs
and listening to our kids cry in defeat.
Instead they came home happy as can be,
split open all of their eggs on the living room floor
and ate their weight in sugar.
I hope this tradition stays for a long time!

i really wish we were in your ward. Every year we see this and every year we think, well, maybe next year.
