the sharpie strikes again!
A long time ago Henry found a Sharpie marker and added his touch to much of our upstairs furniture. Luckily, it was mostly sealed wood that we were able to scrub clean He did leave one small mark on my leather couch that I was pretty upset about but decided it could have been worse. Well, we are no longer spared. On Halloween Day (while under the hubby's watch, I must add), James found a Sharpie marker (that the hubby had left on the floor while doing a home-improvement project), and proceeded to draw what looks like a spiderweb all over our leather couch. I have tried hand sanitizer, Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, oil, sunscreen and the list goes on. Basically, we will have a spiderweb couch for as long as our boys are growing up. James' artwork will grace our living room for years to come. And as for the Sharpie markers? They have been shunned.

oh. wow.
Thankfully we've never had sharpie. We've had chocolate milk messes, pudding messes, baby powder messes, etc. But nothing permanent yet.
This site says sunscreen (if it doesn't discolor your couch completely).

Try hairspray. I'm serious.
i kind of don't know what to say. had it been henry, i'd say you need to talk to nicholeen about parenting, but since it was james...it sounds like preston still needs some parenting.
oh. and the floating fetus is back??
That is sad!
Have you called in a professional?
Jessie. I am a friend of Jessica and Cesily. I was just looking at your cute blog. I have a suggestion to try for the sharpie. It worked really good for us with Sharpies. Go to the dollar store and get something called "LA Totally Awesome". It is by the cleaners. It is a yellowish fluid and it only costs a dollar. I swear it gets EVERYTHING out. Good luck! I know you might be skeptical because it is from the dollar store but I seriously buy like 10 at a time.

Rubbing alcohol takes sharpie off most other things in my life - have you tried it?
I know they have actual "leather cleaners" too, they sell em at like rc willey and furniture places, maybe they know..........BUMMER. but at least it's Halloween festive, eh??? ;)
Jesse-
This happened to us, and our couches are much lighter leather than yours. The only thing that works and is gentle enough is Perfume. I know that sounds strange, but it will take it right out. Rub softly. Your could will end up smelling great too!
