I came with Preston this week on his business trip to Fort Morgan, Colorado (remember my excitement over this city last summer?). My amazing Sister-in-law, Nicholeen, is keeping both of the kids at her house in Utah for 5 days. I was so nervous that James would wake during the night or that Henry would decide to be disobedient while away from home, but the few times I've talked to her she's only given me positive reports. Today she said that James slept until 9:50 a.m.!!! Can you believe it? He NEVER does that at home. She also told me that Henry has been an angel and spent a good amount of time yesterday learning to write his name. I'm so grateful that she and her family welcomed my kids to be a part of their cute family for the week. I just hope I can live up to her teaching and parenting abilities when I return or else I may need to send Henry out to Tooele for weekly name-writing lessons and James out to sleep in her walk-in closet for extra rest on occasion.
While the little ones are off having fun with their cousins, I'm sitting in a hotel room stocked with snacks, Coke, water, chocolate milk, a TV and my computer to rest, relax, read and digital scrapbook. My goal is to get James' one year scrapbook done before the end of the week. I'm off to a good start...
I do miss my boys, but I feel like they're around when I'm staring at these pictures all day!
Now I'm off to do some TV watching and reading before bed.
Thank you to Nicholeen for making my spring break possible! I'm very grateful!
