date night

We had a little night out with our best friends on Saturday. Our gatherings these days are few and far between due to the distance we have to travel to all be together and due to the fact that we have a good chunk of little ones that need to be babysat. But, we defied the odds and actually got together for a really, really good dinner. The Beaches recommended Asian Star, and it couldn't have gone any better. We had an amazing view of the mountains (it was pretty much a glass building), a personal drink-filler-upper (the Coke just kept coming), a delicious blend of foods (the Honey Walnut Shrimp was the best and I highly recommend it!), and good conversation (ranging from labor & delivery to landscaping). James came along and was a perfect little man just hanging out on his Mommy's lap (or on Pam's baby bump). My mom is going to be so jealous because she was dying for one while in Utah, but it never happened (sorry, Mom!)....we had to top of our meal and go "get sconed" with a famous honeybutter scone from Sconecutter. You gotta love that fried, greasy goodness!!! It was a fun and tasty night out!

My mouth is watering! Matt and I always used to get honey butter scones and raspberry lemonade at Sconecutter when we were dating at BYU. I'm jealous of your date night. Looks like fun!!
