As I've mentioned previously, Henry is doing great with the addition of James. He truly loves him and cares about his well-being. Today when a little neighbor boy came over and peered over the edge of James' bassinet, Henry said, "No touch baby, baby seepin'". I was proud of him protecting and watching over his little brother.
Henry has lapsed however in his maturity. Not that any 2 and a half year old is mature by any means, but Henry has regressed a little in his behavior. We had our in-laws over for dinner last week, and Henry proceeded to dip his bread into his cup of milk and squeeze it over his head. Milk was dripping everywhere, Henry was laughing, and I was looking at Preston, mortified by my once slightly mannered son's behavior. Preston decided it was a great time to grab the camera and captured the shot above....nothing like giving your kid positive attention for negative behavior, huh? He has also had a few meltdowns out of nowhere. We can tell he's a little on edge and sensitive about having to share the attention and love of his parents and others who visit. We've tried to give him special mommy and daddy time and just extra praise and encouragement in general. He's really good for the most part.
We are just happy that he is showing no resentment towards James, so far, and hope that it lasts.

Milk baths are great for the complexion.
That's a good one...and the picture really is cute.
I'm sure Henry will always be a great big bro.
Where is the picture? I don't see it. Anyway, that's so cute that he "gets it" enough to protect James!
Hang in there with the regression. If it isn't one thing to trigger it, it's another. It's just a hard age I think even without a sibling or other event.
He is soooooooooooooo cute, Jessie!
that is a GREAT picture! Just so you know age three is worse than two!! :)
