The most surprising realization at James' birth was that his hair is RED! Everyone always comments on how "pretty" it is, and then proceeds to ask, "Where did his red hair come from?". I was born and have lived with dirty dishwater blonde all of my life, but I dyed it red today, so that I didn't have to get asked that question anymore. Now he looks like my child, instead of Lindsay Lohan's.

I am the only redhead in my family. (Until I had 2 of my own, that is.) When I was born, my grandma dyed her hair red so people would think I got it from her.
And I totally agree with Keely. I can't take Syd and Brenna ANYWHERE without someone commenting on their hair.
I love the red hair. Very cute. I too am the only one in my family that has red hair. Unfortunately my kids are not red heads. But they are very cute any way. People have always asked me where my red hair has come from.
