My mom just left today after being in town for 5 days. We had a great time with her, and I was so sad to see her go. She's not the typical mom, nor the typical Grandma. For one, she loves to go, go, go, laugh, and have lots of fun. She also is WAY more stylish than I am...I'm all about comfort, she's all about wearing what looks good. She's also one of the most giving people in the world...she went on a cleaning rampage while she was here and even took my quilt to the laundromat to get a good cleanin' for the first time in years.
Little James is grandchild #8 for her, and she hasn't slowed down on the love she gives to each and every grandchild. Henry couldn't get enough of Grandma....they played chase, cuddled on the couch, gave each other kisses, chewed gum together, and went shopping for little prizes. It was just the special attention he needed right now. Grandma treated Henry to a new Buzz Lightyear, some Little Einsteins dvds, a pair of Cars sunglasses and a new soccer ball the other day. Upon leaving Target with the loot Henry looked at me and said, "Henry's Christmas". He honestly thought it was Christmas all over again with Grandma in town. I think we all feel that way. She treated us to lots of good meals, great laughs and much-loved presents. We love you, Grandma Susie!
