Takin' care of business...

Oh, the satisfaction in marking things off of my monster list! If it all goes this fast I will be ready for this baby before my due date....and how nice that would be!

First off, my oh so creative best friend Pam has been helping me sew stars on the babe's quilt. What I thought might be a 12 hour job is becoming a 36+ hour job. This quilting stuff is tough work, but it will be super cute and so worth it!I'm sure the baby will greatly appreciate it and adorn it with spit up and poop without second thought.

Secondly, the most giving person in the world, my mother, is donating this puppy to our growing family. It's really bulky but loaded with amenities...my favorite being the cupholders for mommy! Check out how many different directions those seats can go....it's like a carnival ride on wheels.I also love that the baby car seat goes in the back and Henry goes in the front....that way the wild man can't attack the babe! For a person on the go, I thought this king of strollers was a must!

Lastly, we snagged this gem on ksl.com last night. $50 for a slightly used toddler bed and mattress. Henry will be moving into his "big boy bed" in no time. Plus, we can keep his original bedding for a little bit longer. Now we can start on the baby's room and move the crib and changer over. I even got something done not on the list. Every nursing mom needs a supportive and comfy nursing bra, so I got one of these to lounge around in for the next few months. I'm sure I won't be looking anything like that model in it, but I'll just be sure to keep a shirt on over it.

Just thought I'd report on checking some of these things off my list. It's feelin' good!

what is this now, a competition of who can complete their monster list first???? see what posting a list can do...

good job. i can't wait to get working on the quilt. i really love just letting my hands work and my mind wander!!

every january i propose that we come up with a proposterous list of things we could never actually accomplish, post them, and then see who can finish them first. and the prize can be something like you come organize my closets or i cook you dinner for a month.

You're on, Pam! I want your dinners for a month....now that's great motivation! If I get this quilt done before baby can I get one of your dinners for a night?

I LOVE THE QUILT, whasup with the cars tho, i don't think stella will approve. Love the stroller too, my only concern is that hen may be a little big for the seat, perhaps not.

That's it for the cars...it's only a circle or 2 worth. I just loved the colors and vintage-ness of them. Tia loves cars, doesn't she?

Yes, it holds up to 40 pounds and he's around 32 now, but I really don't think he'll gain 8 pounds in the next year or so. But then again he did have 4 nuggets and half of my cheeseburger for lunch.

Dang, girl! Cute quilt, awesome stroller, cute bed & a great deal, to boot! Did you pick the stroller, or did Grandma?

Man, I'm loving that stroller! Makes me wish I was having twins. Ha ha!!

Your quilt looks so cute too. Are you going with neutrals in the nursery? Stella can love cars. Heck, I played with Legos and Constructs until I hit middle school.
