50 things about me!

Last night at a Girlfriend's Cooking Club gathering, a friend's brother (he considers himself a "girlfriend") said there are 3 kinds of blogs. He then went on to share the different types of blogs...I don't remember many specifics but it was along the lines of 1- a travel blog (people who brag about all of their excursions), 2- a baby blog (people who only blog about their kids), 3- a dead blog (people who start a blog and then never care to post again). I have to say I agree with his theory. Since my blog is pretty much a "baby blog" today I'm setting Henry aside and posting 50 things about myself that you may or may not know. Thanks be to Melinda for the grand idea!

1. I grew up in Kansas and have never seen "The Wizard of Oz".

2. I check to make sure all windows and doors are locked in my house every night before I go to bed.

3. I would rather have a 44 oz Coke than eat a meal.

4. Preston nor I will go to restaurants that serve Pepsi (unless forced by another person).

5. I got pooped on in Kindergarten while sitting at the blue table.

6. I'm extremely independent, yet I hate to be alone.

7. Animals have no place in my life.

8. If I could buy any new car today it would be a minivan, all duked out.

9. I have 2 ear lobes on one ear.

10. I flipped a Go-kart at the age of 10 and had to get stitches in my chin.

11. My mom named me Jessica and said I would never go by Jessie because it was a "fat girl's name".

12. My favorite color is blue but green has been enticing me a lot lately.

13. I hate baths.

14. I love massages.

15. Immunizations scare me, and I'm debating on whether or not to fully immunize my next child.

16. I love to read myself to sleep.

17. If I had some extra money I would get me some DVR.

18. I have an obsession with buying baby clothes...they are much cuter than big people ones.

19. I love to cook, hate to bake.

20. My favorite magazine is Us Weekly.

21. I hate fashion. I'm all about comfort.

22. Biscuits and gravy is my favorite breakfast.

23. I'm a dipper...I love to dip anything and everything! I even "double dip".

24. I played the trumpet in elementary school. I was no good.

25. I'm terribly afraid of mice, but you all know that.

26. I speed.

27. I love to play "remember when...." with family and friends, even if it just happened yesterday.

28. I'm not a tough critic of movies or music. I can listen to or watch anything (besides rap and horror flicks) and find some sort of entertainment in them.

29. I have 3 older sisters, and I don't live near any of them.

30. My first dog was named "Poopsie".

31. If I go without food for more than a few hours I get really cranky and feel as though I may pass out.

32. I hate sand between my toes.

33. I love playing games.

34. I thought I might never be a mom, and now I'm about to be a mother of 2!

35. I married the most patient person on the planet!

36. I see no need to floss.

37. Digital scrapbooking is my only creative outlet.

38. Hot chocolate is comfort food to me.

39. I want my family (come on, Mom & Dad!) to move to Utah!

40. My first car was a black Jeep Wrangler I named "Karl" because he was big and black like Karl Malone.

41. I love sleeping in hotels.

42. My favorite ice cream is French Silk.

43. I don't procrastinate.

44. I prefer quality friends that I wouldn't be worried about running into their room and jumping on their bed in the middle of the night. Surface people bug me. What's there to hide?

45. I played competitive softball for 8 years.

46. I taught elementary school for 4 years to put my husband through college.

47. I want a bigger deck.

48. Nothing beats Thai Chicken Curry!

49. I believe in God.

50. I love to organize and clean.

So there you have it! Now this isn't just a "baby blog" for today.
