Christmas was a good one for us this year...the first one back in Utah in 10 years and in our own home! It all started with the annual Pond family Christmas Eve at Preston's parents house. We braved the big snow storm for over an hour to arrive there safely. The big ham dinner kicked off the festivities. This year I made a broccoli tree (relish tray)...I thought it was pretty cute and quite yummy with some dilly dip.
Preston's family is all about traditions which makes everything a little more fun and exciting. The kids act out the nativity scene while Grandpa Pond reads the Christmas story from the scriptures. Henry was a shepperd and loved dressing up in his pillowcase...The kids very favorite tradition is "Little Jack Horner" where we all recite the rhyme..."Little Jack Horner sat in the corner eating his Christmas pie, he stuck in thumb and pulled out a ________" and they all pull a string with their name on it and out flies a little surprise. Henry was more than happy to pull out some new Matchbox cars to play with. After a night full of family fun we returned home in the snowstorm in time for Henry to open some new train jammies and get all snug in our beds for Santa's arrival...

i LOVE that broccoli tray too, you are VERY creative! I also love the pic of Henry, he looks like his mommy! :) Looks like you had a lot of fun on Christmas eve.
I think he has a bowl full of jelly too!
love the little jack horner game and the tree.
What a clever relish tray. Even I would eat veggies that look that good!
