a campfire shark attack
On Friday night Preston proposed that we drive up the canyon to build a fire and mix up some hot chocolate. Janelle and Dean came along, and we had a great time! It was a bit chilly, but the fire kept us cozy. Henry loved exploring in the leaves and trees with Janelle's headlamp on. Then he began making up stories about a shark in the trees that was going to bite us. Even our company commented on what a chatterbox he is becoming! The kid doesn't stop talking, and will repeat something until you say it back to him. The night consisted of "shark trees", "shark bite", "daddy get it". He really believed a shark was about to attack. I guess that's what an obsession with Finding Nemo does to a kid.The colors of the leaves were beautiful and the sky was filled with stars. After a day full of cleaning and never leaving the house, the campfire and hot chocolate made for a perfect retreat!
