Happy Valentine's Day

Just wanted to send happy wishes on this day of love! We don't treat it as much around these parts, but we did manage to meet Preston for lunch at Cafe Rio to celebrate. On the way home we stopped at the park so that Henry could play in this beautiful weather. I felt bad for him after the long car ride to SLC and back.

Lately he has been amazed by cars. He wakes up and wants to run straight for the window to watch the cars go by. Then he begs to go outside to point at every car that goes by and let out "CAR" with great enthusiasm. This was him this morning as the neighbor was pulling out of their driveway....

I never give Preston much credit when it comes to the romance department, but he did come home with these in his arms last night....

I was so amazed and honestly didn't believe that he truly bought me flowers (I'm not really the flower or jewelry type). After questioning him for a few minutes about "since when do you buy me flowers?" he admitted that his work gives flowers to all of the employees to give to their wives for Valentine's Day. So, he's not getting full credit for them, but they are still pretty and nicely decorate my kitchen table.

It's a secret, so don't tell him (I don't think he visits the blog much, so I think I'm safe), but I stopped on my way home today to get a Valentine's Gift for the both of us. Cummings Chocolates has THE most amazing chocolate-covered raspberries this time of year. They are honestly in my top 5 of desserts. I bought a 6 pack of 'em! I can't wait until dinner is over tonight, and I get to pull them out. Hopefully he'll love them too. If not, there's more for me, I guess!

Enjoy your day! I hope it's filled with loveins!

Happy V day! Good job, Preston, even if they were from work!

You might want to get some more water in that vase or you might have dead roses in the morning!

Wait, maybe it's just the picture. When I first looked I thought the water line looked really low, but maybe not.

Very impressive P-dog, I am thinking that yellow means friendship? Where's the love on Valentines,
Truthfully just jealous,
