Our Chi-town Christmas

Considering our families are all over the place, we celebrate Christmas many times throughout the month of December. The first festivities happened in Utah at the beginning of the month with the Pond side of the family. Now that we are in Indiana temporarily the drive to my parents in Chicago is just a few hours. Preston had 5 days off from work so we got to spend the whole Christmas weekend at my parents house. We got my Mom, Dad, and Granny all to ourselves this year!

It really didn't feel like Christmas....it was almost 50 degrees out and Henry played outside most of the weekend. His favorite was still riding with Grampy on the mower around the yard. He even says "ride" now. When he's not riding around the yard he's tugging at Grandpa's legs, begging for him to hold him. He just loves his Grampy!

Another favorite outdoor activity was riding his cousin's Wiggles car in the driveway. Too bad he hasn't mastered walking it forward, but he sure knows how to walk it backwards and spin in circles.

While the adults played cards, Henry watched the old Rudolph movie (don't you all remember this one from your childhood?) on the big screen. His new interest is sitting in real chairs and climbing all over them too.

He scared us to death one day when we found him halfway down my parents steep, wooden steps......then later found him "dancing" on the coffee table. He's becoming quite the adventurous big boy.

More Christmas pictures to come.......
