All I need to know I learned in Kindergarten.

{Henry on his last day of Kindergarten 5/25/11}

Well, Henry is done with Kindergarten.
Done with learning his ABC's and 123's.
Done with just a 3 hour school day.
Done with being the baby of the school.

He's a graduate!

And, an achiever...
He got all A's for achieved and a M in Spanish for making progress.
No habla espanol just yet.
He is in the Spanish Immersion Program next year, so we'll see if that M becomes an A!

He's ready for summer!
When I asked him what he wanted to do this summer he said swim,
so I taught him this little pose...
Henry has learned a ton this year.
I was worried because he's young for his grade,
as in he started school at 4 and turned 5 the second week in.
He learned to read.
He went from needing serious help with numbers from his teacher
and us at home to math being his best subject.
He's learned how to make new friends on his own.
He's learned silly phrases like "easy peasy lemon squeezy".
He's learned basic spanish vocabulary.
He's learned that girls give him funny looks that mean they like him.
He's learned that life isn't fair.
He's learned that recess is the best part of the day.
He's learned he better eat breakfast because it has to last him until lunch.
I'm not worried any more...I think he's thriving.

His teacher sent home an ABC book that he's supposed to finish over the summer.
He hasn't taken that request lightly. It gets pulled out daily.
I made part of my office desk into his work space, and he's loving that...

He won't only be swimming and working on his writing this summer,
he better take time to cuddle his mom a little while longer before he's gone ALL DAY
as a 1st Grader!
{Photo Taken By James....we tried quite a few but never got our full heads}

Let the summer fun begin!

Kaci learned "easy peezy lemon squeezy" too! Must be standard kindergarten curriculum :) Congrats to you and your big first grader!
