Having a girl makes me nervous.
I feel like I have to dress her cute
and do her hair.
With boys you just grab a pair of pants,
a shirt and some shoes and it will all just match.
With girls you can't forget the tights and the bow
that may or may not be the correct shade of brown
to match the cutesy outfit.
It's a stressful job!
My daughter's hair is becoming a bit much.
It's bright red, long, wispy and disheveled.
She has learned to remove her bow,
rub her food in her mop
and is beginning to look unkept.
So, someone gave me the idea to get curlers
and use those long strands to make cute little curls.
Well, have you tried to put curlers in a 9 month old's hair?
It was chaos!
But, we did it!
She just needed a curler to suck on.
I totally forgot to take a picture of the final look,
but let's just say it wasn't real pretty.
Just a bit messy and a tiny bit fuller than normal.
I asked Henry if he thought it looked cute
and he said, "Do YOU think it looks cute?"
I think I got my answer, Buddy. Thanks!
I should just give up for now
because I'm sure she will care one day
about what she looks like,
and I will kick myself for making
a big deal about it now.

Cute! Enjoy being able to dress her and do her hair the way you want while it lasts. I have to practically bribe Kassie to get her to wear a matching outfit and it's a rare day that she wants anything but a plain ponytail or headband. I thought I would have longer than 4 years, but that's what I get for asking for an independent girl! Could I borrow the curlers sometime? I want to try them in her hair before I buy some.
Anytime, Kat!
How cute...I love the curlers!!
So cute! I got some sponge curlers too but still haven't tried them. Just been too busy. But I know Kenna-- she will yank them out. Oy.
