{Beautiful View from cabin}
My sister, Angie, and her family joined us in Salt Lake first
out of the whole crew of 24 that eventually showed up.
She brought her family of 4 AND 4 additional teenagers, as well.
My good friend offered us a cabin in Midway to use
and the teens wanted to ski and snowboard, so we decided to head up to the mountains for a few days.
The cabin was beautiful,
but the icy roads to it made for an interesting arrival and departure.
We drove 3 minivans up, but none of them could get to the cabin.
We had to borrow a friend's Ranger and take loads of bags
and people up to the cabin for delivery.
{Getting delivered by Ranger}

{the boys loving the loft chairs}

The next morning we made our way to The Canyons Ski Resort
to bid farewell to the professional skiers...
The beginner...
And, his Daddy, the novice...
James, Stella, and I sent them off to the ski lift...
...and we got a call 45 minutes later that Henry was DONE.
Thus, he's the ski bum.
He was cold. It was crowded. The boots hurt his feet.
So Daddy got to hit the slopes all by himself
while me and the kids did some shopping.
Maybe next year...
We ended up ditching the cabin one night early
because they were calling for a foot of snow,
and we did not want to drive home in it.
Preston rescued us in the truck for a much faster escape...
It was a great mountain getaway!
