Stella finally gets her own plate!
I cut everything up super small
and let her go to town.
She picked, she smashed, she ate,
she dropped, and then the plate
became a toy.
I know it's messy,
but I love independent eaters.
That means I get to eat too!

Oh my gosh, PLEASE give me some tips. My baby (one month older than yours) will put everything in his mouth EXCEPT food! I'm pulling my hair out.
Alix, she just does it on her own. She dives for food and digs right in. She hates baby food and loves table food! I wish I could help you, but I didn't encourage this behavior. ;)

Keely- I know! We went to Cafe Rio the other night and there were 5 spoons and a load of beans and rice on the ground below her!

and this is why I have stopped with the rice cereal already. I love to watch them feed themselves. And then I get to eat!
