{prerace}

Back in July I decided I wanted to run a 10k for my birthday...

and eat sushi after.

I'm a pre-planner like that.

My birthday dreams came true.

It was nothing like the sloshy 13.1 mile run 2 years ago,

but I was happy to train and complete it strong and in good company.

Katie and Allie were part of the team,

and despite Henry's advice to

"stay calm and steady, and don't look behind you",

Katie still came in first...

{the winner}

{Allie & I on the final stretch}Preston named us Team J.A.K (Jessie, Allie, Katie)

We had cute little cheerleaders along the way...

And finished in an hour and six minutes.

We were happy we did it, and even more happy it was over.

After the race I was able to join the Pond family for

2 family baptisms (Ellie & Olivia)

and a baby blessing (Eli).

It's rare for every Pond to be in the

same place at the same time

so we had to capture the moment...

After the family celebration

I went with friends for sushi at Happy Sumo and watched Babies.

Family, friends and good food is all this birthday girl could've asked for!

Thanks for the happy day!

Way to go, girls!!! It's so fun to run a race with friends. Then to top it off by going to dinner. Perfect!
