Trail Blazin'

While hosting my sister and niece last week they wanted to experience Utah by going on a hike. I'm no hiker myself, since taking 3 small children to climb a mountain just doesn't sound logical.
But, with a little bit of help and a whole lot of sweat & cardio we made it!

I hauled James in the backpack. Angie carried Stella in the bjorn.
We were all smiles at the beginning...

But pretty soon my load got a little heavy...

...and the vertical stairs were killing me (can't you tell by the look on my face?)...

But James kept yelling "UP, Mommy!" in my ear and
Janelle let me have some of her ice-cold water, and we made it!!!!
There was a beautiful lake at the top that the boys splashed in...

The big finale was a waterfall that Henry climbed with Makenzie...

We were nervous to get back down the mountain, but with Henry as leader (he honestly ran and lead our entire hike), we made it back safely and celebrated with burritos at La Puente.

This little one slept the whole way...

What a fun adventure and an even better workout!

That looks like a beautiful hike. Where is it? Hiking is fun but hiking with a kid on your back is a lot less fun.

Bell Canyon Trail. It starts off of 10200 South and Wasatch Blvd. It's beautiful!
