Daily Bread

I've been addicted to the same lunch for almost 7 days straight now. Usually I'm the McD's or Cafe Rio type, but I'm on a mission to lose 10 pounds before our Disneyworld trip next month. It's not so much that I have a desire to be skinnier as much as I do have a desire to have shorts that fit for the trip. That goal brought me to this lucious lunch. It's a ham/cheese/spinach/pickle/mustard sandwich on Whole Wheat Bread, 3/4 C of Cottage Cheese with a sprinkle of salt and pepper, and fresh sliced tomato. If you're familiar with Weight Watchers at all, you should know that this meal only comes to a total of 5 points. It's fabulous, fresh and filling.

3 pounds down, 7 to go!

Isn't it sad that I will probably gain back the 10 pounds on the trip after eating out every meal every day for 12 days?  There will be no 5 point meals on the "idinnerary" (that's what we call our dinner plans).

Really? I can eat how many points a day to lose some weight? I know it's more complicated than that, but I would love to lose even 5 lbs. If I eat that lunch every day for 2 weeks and not go crazy with my other meals, do you think I'll lose some weight too??? Share your secrets!!!

You're making me feel guilty as I sit here and finish off my Chipotle.

Jennifer----most people eat between 20-24 points to lose weight. You can find a lot of WW info at dwlz.com. I'm betting that if you at 2 really calorie-conscious meals, and then had a bigger dinner that you would probably lose weight...it would just be more slowly. GL!

Tia----Yum! I want me one.

Yumm! That looks great. I have loved doing Weight Watchers simply because I can have great food and lots of choices and still lose. I'm down about 24 lbs since January... and have maintained for 7 weeks now!

Hope you have a great trip! We're planning on Disney world in Oct.

p.s. I had to switch from Dr. Pepper to diet. After a few weeks, I had trouble telling the difference. However, I do not think the same is true when you go from Coke to Diet Coke. Have you tried Coke Zero? Because I think it tastes a lot more like the real thing.

You'll do great. Keep at it!!
