Happy Birthday Blues

We had James' Birthday Bash on Sunday evening. Too bad he wouldn't take a nap before the big event despite my 3 attempts at laying him down. I guess he doesn't like being one, or he thinks he's too old for naps now. The party was fun with lots of friends and family, but James wanted nothing to do with the food, the crowd or the cake.

Pam made this cute cake for his first big celebration...He immediately pushed it away...I'm not sure if sugar is no longer enticing to him because he gets it on a regular basis, or if he just hates being messy (like his mommy)...Either way, he gave us a definite look of disapproval...His Daddy greatly disapproved of his new earring. He was given a bath and put straight to bed.

Thanks to everyone who came and helped out! Even if the Birthday Boy wasn't in the mood, the rest of us had a delightful evening!
