...and to all a good night!

I anticipate Christmas Eve more than I anticipate Christmas Day. It's all the built up excitement that night that truly is the most exciting part. Plus, it's full of food, family, and fun traditions. I've come to realize with children that Christmas Day mostly involves multiple bags full of trash (wrapping paper, boxes, pamphlets), batteries, assembly, and trying to figure out where you can fit all of the new stuff in the house.

Our Eve began at the Pond parents' house. Here's the festive duo that have passed along all of the fun family traditions...It's this baby's first Christmas, and he's entirely clueless the holiday even exists...The kids acted out the annual Nativity scene (our little shepherd had already ran off to steal more candy from Grandma Pond's candy house)...Grandpa Pond treated the kids to Little Jack Horner...We drove home late, but managed to open up our 2 Christmas Eve presents from under the tree....new hooded towels and jammies. Henry sportin' his fireman towel...And we made cookies and poured some milk for Santa and placed them near the fireplace. After a little reindeer dust sprinkling on the snowy driveway and watching as Henry kept looking out his window for Santa, we managed to get the kids "tucked all snug in their beds" and proceeded to "settle our brains for a long winter's nap".
