daddy daycare

I've been slacking on the blogging front because life's been busy around here. Preston spent the day with the boys yesterday while I went to a bazaar to promote my Christmas cards. It was a nice day away from the kids (diapers, loading in carseats, messes), uninterrupted conversation with Allie and Jeni, and the much-needed daddy time for the kiddos. Everyone was in better spirits last night when we all returned home and prepared for bed. I guess the saying, "absence makes the heart grow fonder" must be true. But, today I've already had the following things occur; pee on floor, poop on hand, spit-up on shirt, the hitting of friends, and I'm starting to realize that even though I only sold 5 card designs yesterday, the day away from mommyhood was well worth the $40 booth fee. Let's just say that the Native-American inspired t-shirts were selling faster than my cards, Jeni's photo shoots and Allie's vinyl...maybe it has something to do with the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday? Who knows. But, I did come home to 4 card orders via email. So we'll call it a day well spent.
