Preston's one hobby since becoming a working man without much extra time has been watching soccer. He fell in love with the sport on his mission in Brazil, so upon hearing that SLC was getting an MLS team he knew he wanted season tickets. So for the past 3 seasons we have had RSL tickets. I've never had much interest in soccer, but I must admit that it's been pretty fun to go to the games as a family. It usually starts off with a trip to Leatherby's to have cheese fries and shakes for dinner (my favorite part).
Once we are at the game, everyone seems to have their own motives...
Henry goes for the snowcones...Preston goes to cheer on the team (and do daddy duty)...James is just along for the ride...I personally go to people watch (I thought this man had on a very festive shirt and a very nice head)...I usually forget to watch the game because I'm busy tending to the kids or just enthralled with the people around me.
Last night was extra special because it was the Pioneer Day event, so we got to see fireworks...It isn't quite a baseball game in my eyes, but I love a reason to have an outing as a family, sit back under the lights and enjoy the crowd on a summer evening.
