Denver day

24 hours in Fort Morgan is plenty, so we took a day trip to Denver. Our first stop was the Downtown Aquarium. This place was amazing! It was filled with enormous tanks filled with fish, sharks and other tropical life. Parts of the ceiling were tanks and there were tunnels that were entire aquariums, as well.

As you can see Henry loved it. I kept asking him to turn and look at the camera, but he was enjoying the scenery too much.James enjoyed the view from his stroller...After the aquarium, we also hit the zoo. I didn't take any pictures because it started to rain, and I'm not much into photos of deer grazing or polar bears pacing. But, we had a great time.

I'm a little depressed today because my sister and her kids left early this morning. We had so much fun having them here. And I can't even begin to thank them for all of their help with the boys. I honestly feel like I had 2 days off from mothering. Makenzie wanted to hold James every waking moment. She changes diapers, wears him in the Bjorn, soothes him when he's fussy in the car seat, and even picks the boogers out of his yucky eye (a clogged tear duct). She even warned me once to not touch him until it was time for me to nurse him again (okay, Momma!!!). She also spend the majority of the time playing with Henry. Mason carried my bags everywhere, ran to the car when I needed him to and stayed in the hotel room while James was sleeping so that I could enjoy a run and a soak in the hot tub with my sister. We sure miss you guys! Thanks for visiting us in the middle of nowhere!
