rebel

Do you ever just break all of the rules?

I did.

I left my 3 month old high up on the countertop in a bouncy seat, without a seatbelt on, next to a burning candle, all alone...while I jumped into an unregistered, windshield-shattered, beater van, to pick up my 2 year old at preschool 2 streets down without a carseat...Don't turn me in. I really am a responsible person (most days).

NO WAY! You have got to be kidding me, you will never live with yourself if something happend, he could so wiggle himself out of the seat and off the counter, I am seriously angry right now!!! Preston, I hope you read this and lay down the law.

Seriously? I really hope you're joking.

p.s. I have that same powercat license plate on the front of my minivan. You didn't go to K-State, did you?

WOW! I'm REALLY confused...I must REALLY be off on my days. I was thinking today was May 21st, not April 1st.

okay, so i guess by your responses i am an awful parent. not that it really matters, but he was sleeping peacefully and i was back in 2 minutes flat.

okay, i'll shut up now, and never do it again.

Holy cow, I'm not a mother yet, but this freaks me out!!!

But I'm loving the Powercat that you are sporting around town in Utah. Is that your van?

You're not an awful parent. I am a rebel at times too.

The candle may have been a little over the top though. ;)

I don't see anything wrong with what you did, except for leaving James on the counter. That's a little scary! You are not an awful parent!! We all do stuff like that. (I let Lily drive the van to and from church every week!) Besides, you know your baby and you are the best judge of what is safe or not.

re: k-state, oh... okay. I think we may have discussed this before, now that I'm thinking about it. Long night last night, so I'll blame it on exhaustion. ;-)

all you need to add is that you left henry alone in the tub.

yep, kate....it's our beater van, but it makes traveling with 2 kids SO nice. i have to have something that my beast of a double stroller can fit it. plus, who can complain about the amazing cupholders found in vans?

just wait, you'll be cravin' one after baby #2!

Lol! You couldn't have just blown the candle out and buckled him in on the way out the door? ;) ;)

Don't even get me started on the rules I have broken. The more kids you have the more rebellious you get. I have left Seth home asleep in his crib when I take or pick up Ben from preschool (down the street)- if I don't pick him up my friend does and he comes home in her car without a car seat. I agree with whoever said, maybe next time just buckle him up and leave him on the floor - then there would definately be no problem.
