outtakes

My dear husband has NO clue how to take a decent picture. While visiting Temple Square on Saturday afternoon I attempted to get a nice picture of him and I with the temple and the beautiful spring flowers. No such luck.

Instead of showing you that frameable moment in time that I was hoping for, let me show you the tactics my husband uses to ruin a photo shoot.

1. the annoyed look.Honestly, could he looked any more bugged? I sure hope the look doesn't reflect the way he feels about marrying me in that there temple and the fact that he is my eternal companion.

2. his unique sense of humor. He said that since I thought the flowers were so beautiful then the focus of the picture should be the flowers, not us. He wanted us to sit on each side of the flower bed, so that the flowers were centered in the picture. As you can see in the photo I'm not agreeing with his nonsense.

3. being awkward. It was a Saturday at Temple Square and there were brides and grooms doing photo shoots all over the place. I jokingly suggested he kiss me over the flowers for a photo, so of course he rose to the challenge and offered this Bart Simpson-looking liplock.

So needless to say I toted my camera around for no good reason.

When he saw how frustrated I was with his amateur ways, he did manage to give a wimpy smile. This is the best we got...It'll have to do for now.

I've been wanting to get some family pictures done, but I'm afraid that the photographer would have to bring props (squeaking ducks and featherdusters, etc.) and stupid phrases ("say cheeseburgers", etc.) to even get my husband on track, let alone the children.

LOL! Hey they're still pretty shots, though.

He looks like the pregnant man in the top pic, tell him to suck and tuck next time.

I'm cracking up thinking about you setting up the timer on the camera and getting so frustrated when they don't turn out. That first pic would be so pretty if Preston didn't look like a statue!

I have the exact same problem with Todd! I find that whispering words like "diarrhea" right before the picture works like a charm.

LOL..that seriously cracked me up! Oh, that is funny. I think the "funny" pictures will surely be more cherished than the posed one! :)
