On Saturday we had James' baby blessing at our house. It was a great experience to have family and friends that mean the most to us here celebrating baby James with us (minus my far-away family, of course). He looked so cute in his little white outfit, and even let us get a first picture of his half smiles. His daddy gave him the blessing. Afterwards we celebrated with a spread of soups, fruits and veggies. The men then went to the Priesthood session of General Conference, while the women and kiddos stayed back to chat, play and make homemade Burnt Almond Fudge Ice Cream (a Pond family tradition that took years and years to perfect).
It was a busy day, but we feel very blessed to have this little boy and such amazing friends and family in our lives.
To feel a little inspiration on motherhood, have a listen at this.

He is such a blessing! I love that second pic, it looks like he is smiling and content, sad to miss out on the celebration and ice cream of course.
Congratulations Ponds! Sounds like everything went really well. Where'd ya get his little outfit?

James looks adorable, that outfit is the perfect blessing outfit for a boy. I loved the talk by Elder Ballard, it was my favorite.
