Henry's an eater. He always has been. While breastfeeding he wanted to eat every minute of the day and weaning him hasn't changed much. He still could eat constantly. We frequently hear him asking "snack, please?" and yelling out "dinner time" when he sees me cooking. He also doesn't really care what he eats.....he has a taste for the finer things (shrimp, salmon, steak) but could also down a corndog from Arctic Circle (yuck) or raisins that have been dropped on the Walmart floor and been stepped on. He doesn't want anything to go to waste and is willing to try anything.
I got a good laugh last week when I was ordering a $5 footlong from Subway (what a deal!) in the drive-thru, and Henry yells from the backseat, "I want a BIG burger, Mommy". I wasn't surprised by his request for food but just slightly amused that he said he wanted a big burger. I usually frequent Cafe Rio or Subway, and make the occasional trip to the McD's playland, but I really don't think I've ever offered him a large burger. It was an interesting request to say the least.
You can tell he really loves his food when he closes his eyes....kind of like how David Archuleta is really feelin' it when he closes his eyes while he sings. I had a proud Mommy moment when I made lasagna the other night, and Henry looked at me and said "This is really yummy, Mommy" (with his mouth open and eyes closed....manners will come later, right?). I'm no gourmet cook, but it's always nice to hear when your efforts are appreciated. Thanks, Henry!

How cute is that little guy. I love that he appreciates your cooking and can enjoy all types of food! (well maybe not smushed up dirty raisins)
that bottom picture of him is the most classic thing! so great.
and honestly my kids hate everything i make and won't try it unless it's "noodles and cheese". how'd you get so lucky?
He looks just like Preston in that first picture. So cute! The corn dog doesn't look half bad either!
Will James have the 3ft long eyelashes to bat at you also?
love the pictures. That is GREAT he is such a GOOD eater!!! My child mostly will only eat "mac and cheese" or noodle soup ( raman noodles) Oh and cereal!!! Real healthy I know! :)
