Last night we went out to Preston's parents house for a St. Pat's Party. We had great fun but took horrible pictures. What is it with having 4 people in our family now that makes every family picture just hideous? We all sported green, so I asked my sister-in-law to take a family photo....one of my eyes is shut in the first one (yes, ONE!), and Henry isn't looking in the 2nd (James is looking but looks as though someone just screamed in his face). They were both awful, so instead you are getting a picture of the delicious corned beef that my mother-in-law made. It really was tasty! I love this fatty, salty meat once a year, and my mother-in-law does a great job of going all out....corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, shortbread cookies and pistachio pudding. It was so festive!
I saw this video clip and had to share it with all of you "lemon in the water" lovers. I don't prefer a lemon in my water, and now I'm grateful. I prefer not to eat poop. Check it out...
I hope you have one lucky, lemon-free day!!!

aahhhhhh! i open your blog only to see a big plate of spicy meat?? i actually love that you keep with the tradition. i just can't bring myself to do it.
My brother told me about that lemon/poop thing. Now he is obsessed with it.
I don't think I've ever had corned beef. Fatty, salty meat sounds delish though!
I totally knew that lemons were gross on my own cause every food Joint I've worked at the servers all used their bare hands to throw lemons in the water, and our hands were always filthy from handling money and dirty dishes. I may have been guilty of doing it myself, when it was really busy. I personally think EVERYTHING in a food joint is covered in poop germs after working at a few, but that hasn't really made me start cooking at home. I won't usually get salads at restaurants cause the lettuce is equally as dirty as lemons.
