Most people around the country were celebrating Superbowl Sunday. I was celebrating surviving through the day. Here's the rundown of the events that all occurred...1. My husband called to tell me his business trip is extended by 2 days. He should be home when I'm measuring 40 weeks...let's hope this whole due date thing is correct!
2. My ankles were 6 sizes bigger than normal and wouldn't fit into my church shoes.
3. My cell phone suddenly turned off, never to be turned on again. I'm sure this will mean I will have to spend $200 tomorrow on a new phone. An extremely pregnant lady, home alone with no phone, is not a good thing!
4. My son locked me out of the house. He climbed on the countertops and was yelling "fall down" for 30 minutes while I waited for someone to come to the rescue. He climbed up there to get the keys from off the hook on the fridge. He seemed to think he needed keys to unlock the door from the inside. I tried to coach him at turning the deadbolt (yes, it was the deadbolt that he locked) from outside the door, but he wouldn't do it until AFTER the mess was over and I was back inside. He's NEVER turned the lock before, but decided to give it a try while I was taking out a poopy diaper and starting the car to warm it up for church.
5. I went to take a potty break and returned to my son sitting on the island with the faucet on and water spilling over the sides. When I went to retrieve him to take him to time out he kicked over my glass jar candle and it broke into millions of pieces on the floor. That was the candle that I only burned sparingly because I loved the smell of it and didn't want it to go away. Candles can be tough on the budget when you demand goodness.
6. The day is now over, and I can laugh about it and hope that tomorrow is better. Plus, Henry fell asleep on my lap tonight while cuddling and watching "Ratatouille" so that made all of the other crappiness of the day seem minimal.
Update: It's now Monday afternoon and things are going much better! I got a good night's sleep in, my ankles aren't quite as large (although shoes still do not fit, and forget socks....they create a permanent ring around the ankle), Sprint replaced my cell phone battery for FREE, I went to Cafe Rio with Allie, my lifesaver of a next door neighbor shoveled the 5 inches of snow off my driveway this morning and it's almost Henry's nap time. All is well.

Oh ma gosh! That is one crappy Sunday! I'm sorry. So who do ya call to unlock the door? Unfortunately I too have had the door locked on me as well; not fun!
Holy cow, is this what I have to look forward to?
What a day! I'm glad things are going better today. I have been locked out before - I had to run around to the back of the house and watch ben through the back door while waiting for mark to come let me in. Not fun!
