Under Construction

I didn't blog earlier today because I had my 36 week appointment this morning, and this baby is measuring 38 weeks and 4 days!!!! I realized how soon this hunk of baby could be coming out to join us and rushed to Sears (where a 75 year old man attempted to color match me some paint....no luck, it turned out navy blue and Big Bird yellow) and Walmart (the dirtiest store pulled through for me) to grab some paint to get this baby's nursery going. Afterall, it really won't come until it's room is ready, right?

The best helper in the world, Janelle, came over to lead, guide and coach me in the process. I would never take on a project like this by myself. She's a miracle worker. So the room is painted a dusty blue (yes, girls like blue too...it is my favorite color), and then we've begun the circle-making process. We decided after the first coat of "Surfboard Yellow" that we'd need to do a few more coats....this was just a bit ago at 9pm, so we'll be finishing it up tomorrow. This is just a sneak peek because it's still under construction. You won't get the full idea until the circles are complete and all of the pictures, vinyl, quilt, and furniture are in place and ready for baby. That may take a few weeks.

Taping and prepping...Painted blue and circles under construction...
I hope to report back soon with a finished nursery and a not-so-huge baby to occupy it!
